Hi, i'm new, got a question

Postby strawberrypie » Mon May 20, 2019 9:56 am

I haven't been diagnosed with aspergers but wondering if i am on the autistic spectrum.

I remember in the early years of school I would struggle to make friends. Once a group of girls asked if i wanted to play i'd be fine, but every day i felt i had to wait to be invited to play with them again. If not i would walk the playground by myself.

Does this sound anything like autism?

I would rather go to the library than a club, but go to the theatre rather than a museum. Does that put me on the autistic spectrum?

i don't read this as AS. you just seem a little shy to me. perhaps you have low self-worth and find it difficult to initiate interactions. AS is far more socially disruptive than this. people with AS genuinely can't cope in social situations. it's not just a matter of initiation.
