I wouldn't hesitate to amputate my own limbs if I had to.

That's a ridiculous comment.

Irks me too.
But I realise in not being forthcoming or over-sharing with personal information, it unfortunately stirs up curiosity. At work, those who over-share their personal life ( every last tiny detail) do not get asked this as often as I do.

This also surprised me.
I'm not arguing; I'm explaining why I'm right.

One of these days I might lie and come up with some big elaborate story but the truth is is that I work all weekend but I never tell them that I just tell them that I don't go out.

It's actually amazing how many other people are quite happy to openly admit that they never go out as well when you say that. It's as though they've been waiting for permission to admit the truth about being asocial for a full 48 hours once a week.

Personally I see nothing wrong with wanting to stay at home after you've had to spend at least 40 hours a week with a group of people who you would normally cross the street to avoid.

Any time I get to myself I treasure and I'm never afraid or ashamed to admit to it.

I'm bad with money if I don't lock it away from myself. I am such a child.

It's not that I don't know what to do or that my finances are a mess but if by happenstance I end up at the shops and my salary has come through I am compelled to buy something.

I tried to turn it into grocery shopping but I already have breakfast for the month and I only eat protein and cereal bars so my entire food shopping for the month consisted mainly of long life milk, food bars and hot chocolate.

Also getting tired of business lunches at the moment.
I'll slip through your fingers like water.

I love saving my money. I'm a dreadful shopper because I just won't buy anything.

I swear that winning the lottery would be wasted on me.

At least you would know you have money for bills and emergencies.

We had the lotto go up to over 240 million (rand) here and I don't know how I would handle receiving that amount. Removes all inclination to work or even start a business. You could probably become a philanthropist but I am hardly altruistic.

I'd probably end up going slightly nuts and investing money into ridiculous things like an owlery. I had this idea when I was a child to build a giant room where you had the bed hanging up somewhere ridiculously high and a slide coming down from that into a pool. Basically an obstacle course bedroom. I'd probably build that.
I'll slip through your fingers like water.

I'd love a houseboat in Amsterdam and I'd make sure my daughter was sorted and that's about it.

I'd just like to keep watching it grow with all the interest.

I think I must have a money fetish.
