An Apology to a Demon

Humans try to pass the blame,
However much it is in vein.
An apology to a demon.

They make acts of lust and hate,
Then place the blame at hell's gate.
An apology to a demon.

Humans souls they can be saved,
Confess their sins before the grave.
An apology to a demon.

They lie and cheat and screw and cower,
Pray to their Lord and appeal his power.
An apology to a demon.

Preacher cast my demons out,
They made me brutal, they made me doubt.
An apology to a demon.

And when they take their dieing gasp,
And a demons hand is the hand they clasp.
Their tears of fear and pleading screams,
The demon sighs, no souls redeemed.
An apology to a demon.

Was suggested "an apology to a demon" would make a good poem title so I wrote this.
Monte Carlo or Bust
Rose and Patrick
Batcho and Fortune (twins), Paul and Lilly,
No-one and Peter, Beth and Karen, Mandy and Mouse plus a seperate system of fragments including: rabit and others.

@solemnlysworn: did you write the poetry "The lonely spider" on your blog? (Excuse my ignorance).
“Humor is reason gone mad."

“Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.”

Yeah, I change my answer. I have absolutely no interest in poetry whatsoever. A good story is different

That's kind. Thanks. Though, I do wish I had edited a little before pressing submit

Fang’d maw distends into a smile

Was forced and fits awkwardly. Otherwise, the metre could do with some cleaning up so it's not quite so clunky in places. That line is the worst culprit
