Religion and psychopathy

Do you believe in a higher power? If so, what religion or kind of belief?

My friend, who is AsPD, is an atheist but sometimes will say he is God and make people call him God.

If he's a great ###$ it might be a religious experience for those he's ######6. Every time they cry out "Oh God!" he thinks they're talking to him.

In answer to the OP's question, I'm only religious during sex.

Science can be seen as a secularised type of religion , that it operates like it in various ways - at least when it comes to its power to shape beliefs and world views and uncritically accept scientific statements as truth. Like the priests were the ones in legitimate positions to interpret revelations the scientific experts are in legitimate positions to interpret the truth in parts of the world that are not accessible to the vast majority and then present their interpreted results through the support of numbers.

one thing i notice is that just like how women were the most religious when religion dominated society, women tend to 'worship' science as well.

that angst and need for someone or something watching over them has just been transferred.

and if there is a denunciation of religion often symbolized by 'the father' that allows them to reassert their daddy issues. win win.

no daddy issues then they will be open-minded.

and then there is pav.

despite being in the same category as i described above, she did not substitute science for religion to cope with her daddy issues and neurotic tendencies.

she's progressive.

she clings instead to the growing critique of science, despite never hesitating to consult a proper medical authority when she is in need. indeed, by adopting the religion of the critique of science, rather than either science or religion, she can remain close and privy to science which offers her practical comfort, while continuing to indulge her daddy issues via overt and ritualized critique.

like an anti-porn monger who secretly enjoys looking at the very content they critique and condemn but can't bring themselves to overtly approve or accept.

Do you believe in a higher power? If so, what religion or kind of belief?

I was raised and brought up Roman Catholic. After years of attending religion classes to make my confirmation, I was kicked out of the program for questioning the very foundations on which the Bible revolves around.

Mainly saying how Mary cheated on Joe and as a means to avoid repercussions, she lied and said god impregnated her. Didn't go over well.

But my opinions on religion are as follows.

Religion was a crucial part of civilizations thousands of years ago as a way to help explain the unexplainable, and also a foundation on which people should live their life to maximize their happiness and impact on mankind.

Do I think jesus was the son of god? Def not.

Now these views don't mean I automatically dismiss the possibility of their being a god, because as I look into the creation of our universe, there are many things that can suggest there being someone who created it all, or we can all be in a simulation of some sorts.

Also there are things in nature that suggest an intelligent creator, such as gods fingerprint, which is a mathematical pattern that is consistent from a cellular level up to entire galaxies

We as humans didn't invent math, we simply discovered it.

If so, it's likely "God" would be a being in a higher spatial dimension than us, I'd say he may exists in the 11th dimension. But that's just me.

He sounds like a real nice guy. So, why is he not posting here and instead got you swinging off his balls.

Of course, we can keep pretending you're not talking about yourself here if you're too shy to admit it...
