Im Not arguing but i thought that the hospitals were suppose to help us. Did something happen? Why did that change if it did? I was actually wondering about this.

IMO it has always been that way since the start of physch hospitals and the change away from it has been happening slowly since. There were psychiatric hospitals out there that for decades had one purpose: Fill empty beds and bill as long as possible regardless of whether the patient needed it or not. Often these places had horrible patient abuse and neglect going on behind closed doors. Still others experimented on their patients and then hid the truth...

Fortunately its now starting to come to light.
