Hi all, I found this forum in while search and in effort to find an answer.

I feel I need some help, and don’t know if I need a psychologist or a psychiatrist.

I was a physically abused child (violent beatings by boards, water hoses, metal handles of fly swatters, belt buckles, etc.) And yes, my father was an alcoholic, my mother was verbally abusive and mentally/emotionally absent. No, I was never sexually abused. Yes ...

Alcohol and/or Sugar make symptoms worse?

Hi I think I have manic depression, I think I feel the mania more then I feel the depression parts.

I have not yet been diagnosed with manic depression but I do have a history of mental problems.

Anyways I don't have any medication (its a really long angry story trying to get the ######6 medication but nevermind that now), I have a Dr. Appt on the 16th and I am pretty sure I will ...

wee

Hmm don't know where to post this because I have no idea what causes it (Bioolar maybe? Borderline? No idea, I'm utterly confused) but does anyone else find themselves thouroughly enjoying being in a hypomanic mood? Maybe just because it's such a nice change from being depressed where you suddenly find yourself happy and filled with energy and ready to do anything- sort of, at least. I'd much rather like.. skydive than do my homework. ...

something new....

I always like to start off posts with the fact that I've been diagnosed with Panic Disorder and Depression. I self injure. I have a therapist and I take meds. Ok so we have the basics down, for those who don't know them.

Anyway, I just spent 3 days in New York with my family to visit my Grandma. I'm usually a little edgy on trips like this because of my Panic Disorder, but its ...

sad...

Someone told me they would talk to me today, and they didn't. It shouldn't be a big deal, but it is when you're me, and it's not fair. Why did they have to say that and let me think I had a prayer of talking to them? I miss them so much... I haven't gotten to really see them in forever. And now I feel really bad, and I don't want to have to wait ...
