What frightens me most:
the dark
roller coasters
abandonment
roaches
crickets
heights
natural bodies of water
big dogs
changing seats with someone on a flight (I always sit in my assigned seat)
the thought of someone breaking into my home

I thought I'd add some things that I'm NOT scared of that are a bit surprising to me (at least compared to other people and/or considering some of my other fears):
clowns
fire
wasps, bees
flying
tornados
floods
earthquakes
scary movies
guns

I'm not sure, but I always have been. I don't mind dimness (in lights, not people LOL) but the only full darkness I am ever in is when I go to sleep. I won't walk into a pitch dark room.

That seems strange to me because I actually like the dark. My eyesight in the dark seems to be pretty good, I can usually make out shapes and things so I can move around pretty easily. Everything seems peaceful in the dark, which is what I like.

I understand that. I always reach around the corner and turn the light on before walking into a my room if its dark. Maybe for a different reason, but I understand the fear. Even turning on the light, I'm afraid something will grab my hand, or that when the light is on there will be... something... something there.

Also, my friend had a list of phobia's at school. So I took her list and picked out all the ones I had... 32 is the big number, but some of them are related to one another... so, I 've got catagories, and they have rank -- thats what order they go in if I were to list them from "Most afraid" to "least afraid":

Fear of Darkness - Achluophobia - 1
Fear of dark wooded areas or of forests at night - Nyctohylophibia - 2
Fear of blindness - Scotomaphobia - 20
Fear of anything that falsly represents a sentient being - Automatonophobia - 6
this is only when it's dark. portrates and pictures of people arn't frightening unless its dark, I actually like them. this also includes wax dummies, which are creepy
Fear of dolls - Pediophobia - 5
this go's under fear of darkness because they're more scarry when it's dark
Fear of Puppets - Pupaphobia - 7
again, only when it's dark.... or if its just really creepy looking
Fear of clocks - Chronomentrophobia - 22
there's a story behind this one, and they don't scair me all the time. usually it's just digital at night... and cat clocks *shutter*

Fear of Pain - Agliophobie - 10
Fear of Vomiting - Emetophobia - 9
I'm actually not sure if it huts or not, because I think I blocked out the actuall experience of vomiting when I was younger. And it hasn't happened for a long time. I just know it's unpleasnt and I would rather die.
Fear of injury - Traumatophobia - 12
Fear of jumping from high to low places - Catapedaphobia - 13 it really husts my feet... a lot
Fear of bees - Apiphobia - 17
Fear of wasps - Spheksophobia - 18

Fear of sexual abuse - Agraphobia - 4
Fear of rape - Verginitiphobia- 3

Fear of being ridiculed - Catagelophobia - 21
Fear of Failure - Atychiphobia - 19
Fear of Vomiting assosciated with air sickness - Aeronausiphobia - 10
really, vomiting on a plain, surounded by lots of people... embarassing, no?

Fear of choking or of being smothered - Pnigophobia - 11
Fear of being burried alive - Taphephobia - 15
Fear of being locked in an enclosed space - Cleithrophobia - 14
compleetly differend than being afraid of small enclosed spaces, I actually like them. But I'm terrifyed of someone locking me in one.

other
Fear of demons - Demonophobia - 16
Fear of falling in love - Philophobia - 23
what can I say, I have comittment issues. And I believe that if you're going to fall in love with someone, you should commit to them.

i am extremly afraid of jellyfish, especially the moon jelly

i am also very afraid of spiders, especially daddy longlegs. i can't have my windows open because then spiders can come in to my room. if i find a spider i kill it with a golfing-club or something, but the worse that can happen is if i see a spider in my room but it disappears, so i know that i have a spider somewhere in my room but i don't know were.

i dont know if this is a phobia, but i get really anxius when strangers visit our house, i use to go hide in my room or something like that.

if someone share any of my phobias, please contact me at: gugge123@hotmail.com

I have this strange fear of anything larger than I am. Like for instance, I went to Chicago last week to visit my sister. I couldn't even enjoy myself in the big city because I kept cowaring to all of the tall buildings. I had to look straight ahead. I can't look up at them because I feel so, I don't know vulnerable I guess. I get this way with blimps and stuff too. I sometimes get it when I look up at the night's sky too.
I also have an intense irrational fear of sharks. Always have always will I think. When I was little I had to check my swimming pool before getting into it to make sure there were none in there :)
It sucks though because I love the beach, and I can't even go in the water :(
Could be worse though I guess.
