ok my last post where I needed to make two appointments, well the first one I just went in and made it, the second my husband refused to do so we just didn't do it. I didn't think it was important anyway.

now I have an ad on craigslist trying to sell some things. I keep getting all these emails that go something like: "I would love these! call me ###" AHHHHH. I don't put my number up. I want you to email me so I can email you! Then when I email I get nothing back. annoying.

I made another dr appointment yesterday. I loaded up my 3yo and my newborn in the car and we all went down and talked to the receptionist. That was easier then calling for me.

people just don't get it though....

I can see where you are coming from tash. My phone # has been non published for 20 years. my fear is answering the phone.
at least if I call, I can hang up. I am glad you got your dr's appt made. I agree I would not put my # on anything on the web.
and ppl dont get it, not when everyone is walking around with a phone hanging out their ear! Be well.

hey,
is there really such thing as a phone phobia? I think it's more of a social phobia. let me explain. There's a theory of why people have phobias, and one explanation is that it has to do with evolution. Phones have not been around for that long and so therefore I don't think it's possible to have a phone phobia. We can have phobias for heights, water, animals (because we have evolved to be scared of these for they can pose an actual danger) but I don't think you can be phobic to a phone. for example, (I learned this in a psychology class): there was a girl who saw a snake and thought nothing of it. She then went to go into her car and she slammed her finger in the door. You would think she developed a phobia of car doors, right? wrong. she developed a snake phobia. even though it was the car that hurt her, she developed a snake phobia. cannot have a fear of car doors because cars have not been around long enough for us to develop a phobia. but snakes have been around for thousands of years therefore thats possible to develop a snake phobia. make sense?
just a thought.
