Movies about social phobia

Usually geek movies involve one or many characters with levels of social phobia, but they stereotiped and stupid attemps.

The best and only worthy movie involving social phobia I've seen has been "Punch Drunk Love" with adam sandler(best role he ever had).
Watch it, you'll love it.

I know that on Oprah Show was Social Phobia theme once (the whole episode). I am sorry I missed that. I will try to find where I can download that episode from somewhere.....

The tv show Pushing Daisies has 2 characters with Social Phobia, Chuck's aunts Lily and Vivian. My kind of gals. Like them, I also enjoy fine cheese. Unlike them, I am not a good swimmer.

There's a movie "An Angel at My Table" about the New Zealand writer Janet Frame who was institutionalized for many years in the mid-1900s for what people thought was schizophrenia. Apparently she didn't have it and was eventually released.

When I saw the movie it looked like what she really had was social anxiety disorder. Who knows though.

Wish I could tell ya.. But it takes me a week or two to watch a 90 minute movie.

lars and the real girl, grat movie!

punch drunk love does not involve social phobia. maybe similar but he is actually able to get a girlfriend and maintain relationships and carry on conversations with strangers. he does not have social phobia, just some sort of personality disorder
