That said, this result is certainly odd as the one I got when I had taken the same test a couple of years ago showed the following:-

What has happened to me since then?

Those results make more sense than the ones from the other test. When I say that high on both schizoid and histrionic doesn't make sense, it's because it really does not make sense. Somebody could not possibly be "###$ up" that way, as those two are mutually exclusive. Histrionic is basically a measure of how overly social and emotional you are, and schizoid is a measure of how overly asocial and emotionless you are; you cannot be both at the same time, it makes no sense. Same with antisocial pointing to how overly independent, free and unrestrained you are and dependent being how dependent, servile and restrained you are; you cannot possibly be both at the same time. Maybe at different times, but not at the same time. PDs are inflexible, so they are a measure of how much you are like that "all the time". Somebody with schizoid PD is overly asocial and unemotional "all the time", the deviation from that being the exception.

It's possible to test out as high for both, not necessarily that you qualify for both. Not sure about histrionics, but schizoid processes can manifest externally in borderline, hysterical or histrionic ways which a lot of people don't understand. But of course me just saying that will put unspeakable multitudes of knots into some reader's panties so I'll just leave it at that. Peptron is right in one thing though- PDs are a measure of what you're like all the time over the majority of your life. That's the largest piece to any PD puzzle. A lot of these test can only measure the external and don't deal with the internal mechanisms so it's true you can "test" high for opposing PDs. I did. I get High and Very High for nearly every PD except Borderline
