Nurp, that's backwards. In the most simple terms possible, being asexual means you have no desire for sex (or sexual activities). However they can still be attracted to people in a myriad of ways, some which do blur the line a bit. But, the way I quite simply explain it to myself is that as long as I don't have the urge to put my dick inside another person (or vice versa), I'm asexual. Everything else is more or less fair game. Other people can still make me feel like I'm on fire, but I'll still never, ever want to penetrate them (or vice versa) regardless of how intense that feeling gets.

Plus, your sentence doesn't make sense... how can someone want sex, but not other people? How then do they acquire sex?

That's quite interesting, does that apply to all porn or just typical porn? I ask becasue I got bored with generic porn at 14 and find it hard to get interested in it (so if I don't bovver), however when I use my imagination I can easily get off.

My guesses are all of them. I can't just stare at the screen or whatever seeing people having sex and don't use my imagination to picture myself having it.

I'd rather sleep than fu*k, but I appreciate a good handjob now and then.

I'm an aromantic asexual. So, I do not experience sexual attraction, nor do I have any interest in romantic relationships.

I'm not sexually attracted to anyone or anything and I am not romantically attracted to anyone or anything.

I'm a gray-sexual with a preference for women. I voted no a long time ago, but now I am wondering if Gray-sexual counts as a yes (because it is almost asexual) or no (because it is almost asexual)

AVEN would disagree with you. Asexuality is about sexual orientation, it is not necessarily related to libido. Do you find men and/or women sexually attractive. If your answer is no, you are asexual. An asexual can desire sex, be disgusted by it, or be indifferent. It isn't about whether they want sex, it is about whether they experience sexual attraction. If they desire sex, they would have sex with whichever gender is more tolerable to them, or they might have no preference and be open to both genders. AVEN would probably agree with you though that if you are attracted to people but have no desire for sex, you are an asexual. But I disagree with that. I think that makes you a hetero/homo/bi-sexual who simply doesn't want sex.

It's a shame AVEN is the only asexual community there is... :| Definer of words, correlator of viewpoints. Plus all they do over there is complain about acceptance and whine about being offended. Oh and sex, I wish they could shut up about sex.

Well, sex is what generally differentiates them from the norm, so it makes sense that they talk about it. But it would be nice if there were other asexual communities. But being a relatively obscure group, it isn't surprising that it is the only one. Having definitions is a good thing, in my opinion.

Yes, not surprising, not surprising, not surprising. I think definitions are a good thing too. I think they should be more descriptive than proscriptive (following usage not dictating usage). I'm cool with anybody using a word according to some unconventional definition as long as said definition is provided. Then the more that definition becomes attributed to the word in normal usage the less you'd have to specify its intended meaning. I'm more interested in understanding what is being said than policing how it's being said.

I go back and forth about it.

There are people that I find attractive, but I don't ever find myself thinking, "Man would I like to mash my genitals up against their genitals" or "Man, I would like to touch that person in a sexual way".
