Eh... fine, I'll post poem here.

A lousy poem for two of my four sisters.

You are never so alone
As how you feel,
Break through cold stone,
Find what's real.

Find the eye of the storm,
Follow it to better times;
Deduct the form,
Forget their crimes.

Just beyond the next few bends,
Beyond the line of sight;
There waits Joy, and Hope extends,
Beyond the end of night.

And I am NOT posting the poem about my cats. Well, maybe later. I mean, I would never write a poem about cats. That's so girly.

To The Squirrel In The Tree Out Back

Run Frantic in the mad world,
It must be nice, being a squirrel
Rampaging through the yard
Eating all the bird-food
From crates unbarred,
Yet no home to intrude,
Racing headlong up trees,
Chipper friends come 'round,
You carry on your rambling,
Always living worry-free
Dancing clamber, lunatic,
Frenetic like a humming bee,
For your own-self carrying joys,
In parcel cheeks, seeds fill,
Until Daytime's Ending,
Tames Frantic Still.

A Poem For The Cats Sleeping By My Books

Two clamorous creatures,
Stalking 'round the house,
Seeking hidden foodstuffs,
Hunting quiet for a mouse,
Their painful, playful fighting,
Like splinters fiercely biting,
With vengeful nips of love.
Finding rest upon my desk,
They paw things to the ground,
They turn their eyes up to the sky,
Breaking baubles pound by pound.
If I forgot their nighttime meals,
Would both then attempt to steal
The food from off my plate?

War of the Twins

Silly eyes tell tales,
And with voices to size,
Yet they never fail to be kids;
Throwing tantrums over spilled milk.
And spill the milk, they did;
While one built his castle
Out of paper cups,
The other played bulldozer
And breached the walls;
Two boys collapsed to the ground
In tears at the injustice
Of the other twin brother
And tonight, though I count them both dear,
I do not envy their father,
Nor do I envy their mother.

Hide and Seek

Just a flutter, a jitter of light,
Memories dance as waves,
Impossible to define,
Walking the way divine,
Confined by walls,
Tear them down
Brick by brick --

Facts, figures,
Numbers, letters,
Walls that refine,
Hiding the divine,
Walk the way of metaphor,
Then dance at night,
Right into the light --

Where is the meaning, where is the truth,
Memories fading behind the veil,
Impossible to find,
No dividing walls
To hide behind,
Tore them down,
Brick by brick.
"Anxiety is the hand maiden of creativity."

These are actually pretty good! I mean it. There's some substance, style, and they garner interest. I liked them =)
Lord, grant me the serenity to accept
the people I cannot change,
the courage to change the one I can,
and the wisdom to know it is me!
