How long have you known about your paraphilia?

They don't make a big deal of it. There are times I wonder if they even remember.

The only difference is they've largely stopped teasing me about flirting with the toddlers when we're out and about.

I find it's less awkward than it was before, since I'm not afraid they'll notice something, and they know I'm not a danger to anyone.

Interesting...If I ever do tell my family, I hope they react the same way yours did! lol

I hope so too. I've heard so many stories about this going wrong. I'm really glad my friends and family are as wonderful as they are.

I have known about my paraphilia since I was 5, but I didn't fully realize just how different I was from most of my peers until I was 19 and in college.

I knew that I was a Pedophile when I was 13 years old but didn't know what the word meant or even the word, I knew that I was drawn to boys younger than me and I was very drawn to them. It wasn't until I was in high school that I looked up the word and realized that it fit me to a T and that is what I was and would be for the rest of my life.

I knew I was sexually attracted to girls that have reached puberty and older since I reached puberty myself. At the time, I thought it was just "normal" attraction back then, but my attraction to females ranging from late preteen to adult age stayed throughout the years.

Well, for the longest time, I thought I was just really great with kids lol. But it wasn't until I noticed myself staring at passing little boys while my friends stared at girls racks, that I thought "hmm, this is odd".
And it wasn't until the first time I cried myself to sleep over a 5 year old boy that I thought "huh, I may have a bit of a problem". And that was about 3 months ago.

It hit me when I turned 19. Always did have that sense that something was "wrong" though.
