https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereotypy common with schizophrenia, don't know about if it's just psychosis.
Anyway you should try to post a better description and list any relevant diseases you have (at least the ones with a subforum here) If you expect people to guess even more.

Never seen this happen to someone who wasn't on a medication which was causing it. If it wasn't a medication I would say it might be some form of tourettes? I don't think it's "normal" with depression and psychosis. Maybe with OCD i've seen it when something happens that triggers the response. If it's bothering you that much, get a second opinion. Don't rely on what us non doctors say about it.

I have something like this when I'm lying in bed. My whole body will have a weird twitch as though something had spooked me, but there was nothing there. Weird as hell...
I also have a real tic / minor tourettes. They're completely different, at least to me.

People with trauma based diagnosis sometimes talk here about twitching involuntarily as if someone has scared you. I know I've experienced this often and with no obvious trigger... I find it kind of disconcerting to be honest. It got a bit worse once I went on anti-depressant medication...
Is it bothering you much?
