Workplace issues

Postby rhyannelise » Wed Aug 15, 2012 8:18 pm

Hi

I have a problem. How do I explain to my immediate supervisor that I need to do things in a certain way and at a certain time because I have OCD and Anxiety issues, without actually telling her I have OCD and Anxiety diagnoses. She's a very gossipy person, and a bit passive-aggressive, and lately she's been changing my work schedule a lot at the last minute, and sending me emails cc'd to her boss, criticizing me for what I consider to be very minor issues. And I don't want to share my diagnoses with her because I feel like she'd find some way to use them against me.

Has anyone experienced a similar situation, or does anyone have any ideas on how to handle this?

Does your company have an HR department and, ideally, a person whose job title may be: Workplace Accommodation Specialist, Healthy Living and Wellness Specialist, Workplace Counsellor or similar?

once they start nit-picking, they start trying to get rid of you. be careful. if you sense they're trying to get rid of you based on work performance, go file for short-term disability, either through the company or the state.
