manipulating people

Postby sfguy » Tue Oct 06, 2009 1:32 am

Do you think people with various mental illnesses are more vulnerable to charming or manipulative people than people who don't have a mental illness?
It seems like the answer might be yes because if someone can temporarily take you out of your head and cause you to feel good for a while, then that feeling of relief could be like an addictive drug.
How would you protect yourself?

Hello sfguy,

yes, you're right in your sayings. See, if you want to protect yourselves against such mentally-ill persons. Talk with them full honesty and respect. Never try to hurt them. They are not fully aware of present situation or condition of things, only because of their illness. Don't ever keep expectation of any return from them. Just keep one expectation and it is, they will become finally ok. This is best way, i guess.

People with disorders are no easier to manipulate than others, its just they have a much easier accessible "problem" that one can derive emotions from to contorl you with. Normies are just as easy, just more difficult to find a topic that will produce the required amount of emotion.

Sometimes, you will find normies are also easy to manipulate, if they have no proper understanding or control over them.

It more depends on the person and their personality than their disorders.
