Re: What have you been diagnosed / or feel that you have?

I also believe that I have more than one of these issues even though the intensity of them has greatly diminished over the years as I have grown and healed within myself.
Knowing me a bit more every day!

I have been diagnosed with ADD, depression, OCD and anxiety disorder. I know all of these are correct...HOWEVER, I barely scratched the surface of my problems to any of my doctors. They have never ever gotten personal with me before. Therefore- I am positive I have much much more than just what I've been diagnosed with.

My vote was cast for "friends and family".
I think I have schizoid personality disorder and possibly paranoid personality disorder, but am not getting help yet because I'm too scared to tell my parents (or even my older brother).
FYI, I'm a freshman in high school, so there's no "driving myself/getting help myself". Which I hate (as much as I can hate something).
And school counselors?
Don't get me started on them. One of my biggest fuels for paranoia there.

I'm too scared to tell my parents or older brother that I think I have a mental illness, so I haven't gotten a diagnosis yet. Definitely SPD, probably Paranoid Personality Disorder, maybe even schizophrenia (I've heard whistling occasionally, and more recently I've heard people going up stairs when they haven't. Does this count as a hallucination?)

I think the stigma society places on it is the worst. It makes it so you can't be honest with employers, you feel like you have to be constantly hiding what is going on. So much of my life has been messed up by mental illness, that I'm getting on disability. But it's embarrassing to say so when you meet someone new so you make up stupid excuses to why you're not working. I hate it, personally. Anyway, that's just my opinion on it.
-No memories are worse than bad memories, but false ones terrify me.

If there is no reason for the sound, it is an auditory hallucination.
Nothing appropriate comes to mind.

All of the above. But, the one that stuck out to me was family not understanding, especially if they've helped you along into mental illness through their ignorance :|

Well for 10 years I thought I had ADHD, but recently found out I didn't when I had this weird tweaker reaction to my meds when I was taking them. But I DO have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, depression which my or may not go along with the OCD, and anxiety.
