Random Thoughts... I wanna hear 'em!

Postby maddogmaddy » Sun Apr 24, 2011 1:41 am

I realized the other day just how oddly my brain works sometimes. I'll explain;

On a radio commercial, I heard the words "touch tone". The words repeated in my mind briefly. Then came this.....

"Touch tone. Fire Stone. Around the Fireside. Volcano rock." :mrgreen: **I actually smiled like this at the end, lol

Somehow, those first two words set off some chain reaction of association in my brain. I've been cracking myself up with it ever since. It's probably safe to say, "you had to be there" :lol:

Haha....I've met people like that. I find it mildly amusing, for like, 3 seconds. Then I'm over it :)

Yeah... particularly getting distracted while playing with a tesla coil would be bad.

Random thoughts?

[deep though]
I wonder how we originally discovered that we could eat various plants, fruits, herbs, etc. Lots of trial and error? I mean, how many people nibbled on poison oak, sumac, oleander, and such? I wonder if that was ever an official job... tribal unrecognised plant taster.

Mmm I love eating passionfruit without a spoon.
I wonder if other people do too?
I wonder if I should put this thought on that random thoughts thread on Psychforum.
Yeah, why not?
(Whilst searching for this thread...)

Food tastes best when you can feel it.
No diagnosis, lots of opinions, and a bunch of issues that I haven't quite figured out.

I like the fuzzy outside of kiwis. Delicious. Referring to the fruit not New Zealanders, though, hm...

When people who were born deaf think to themselves, how does it work? I have a voice I talk to myself with. I internally verbalize my thoughts using words. If you don't use sound, how do you communicate to yourself? Just curious.
