Loving not having the stress of chasing money after losing bets. Life a lot less stressful now and have so much more time available. Never realized how much time gambling took up.

Same here, dockysher. I was preoccupied with collecting enough money for my bankroll so that I could have my next "fix" to win money.
But as soon as I lose, I would go back to that same cycle again.

What a wasted life. Am not going to put myself through that all over again, the restless night of sleeping, the stress of not having certain bills being paid because of gambling.

My 8th day of GF.

I'm posting this in the morning of 13th July. By doing so, I have affirmed that I have taken the decision to be GF also today.

Wish you a gud gamble free day and week RicardoG. It really does get easier as time goes on, I have very little urges for last two weeks, I know I always have stay strong tho.
Gambling is a evil never ending cycle were we are always chasing winners, even wen we win we dont stop. Once u realise u can never get ahead in life by gambling it much easier to give it up. I never wan to be one of those people who go into betting shop everyday for hours chasing winners and wasting precious time only to feel terrible after it. There is so many oder tings we can do wit our time in this life that cost nating and make us feel good, such as playing sports, meeting friends, visiting family, a simply walk in fresh air, helping oders etc.
I hate dat I taut I liked being stuck inside a small musky betting shop and dat I was havin funny and goin win loads, it was so stupid now I tink of it. Chasing winners, losing money, seen more miserable people in der doing same, feeling terrible after. Having sleepless nights worrying bout money and how id explain how I lost all my wages again. I know I never ever wana go back to the old me and gamble ever again.

Thanks dockysher. Thanks for the sharing and encouragement.

It is day no.9 of being GF.

Some temptations, yesterday and today since I banked in some money to my bank account which is meant for some payments.

Am keeping strong though. :D

Today is day 28, (672 hours) I have found it's much more than money;
It's time spent enjoying life. When I get old I want to be able to
make this world a better place and one way is to give back
to causes I am passionate about. I would hate to think How I would feel
If I couldn't do that because of wasting it in the Casino trap ( beyond sickening)
Not gambling let's me focus on the big picture. Good luck all, being here and participating
Is a big step

Day 549 of Life: Part II

That's how it honestly feels to me. It has taken awhile to stop dwelling on how much of my life I have pissed away in casinos, and now i'm just starting to enjoy the moment and look forward to the future.

Congratulations ....looks like you have been GF for about 18 months now. It must be a great feeling. Keep it up

I'm in my 12th day of GF.

Disappointment and being upset sometimes creates some urge in me to gamble. Am keeping myself aware of this. Also I need to keep of a friend who like to drink, I don't think he is a good company. I had a drink with him last Saturday, and looks like he just has this Ego thingy which I don't like.

The urge is getting low. My work performance is getting better.

I may not have the best career/work currently. But instead now, I intend to be a bit more focus. I intend to use the energy which I had used for gambling before instead and channel it to make a more success and rewarding career for me. :D
