Domestic violence

Postby Anaconda » Thu Nov 24, 2016 1:06 am

Hi,

10 days ago I and my husband got into an argument and then we pushed each other.
I moved temporarily to our daughter.
A cop came to this location and asked me about this matter.
The cop asked me if I want to press charges and take pictures, but I refused and sign a paper.
We both we realized that we made a mistake and we reconciled but decided to stay separate for a while, to give a better chance to our relationship.
I believe that there is a warrant against my husband, but he hasn’t received any mail yet.
What is the best way to have this case dropped? We both admitted we were wrong.
I and my husband do not want to waste money on lawyers and penalty fees.

Thanks a lot for your replies!
P.S. We live in Michigan.

Anaconda,

I'm glad you all decided to reconcile that ultimately is a good thing. I would have a conversation with the officer at the district to start the process for dropping the case. Good Luck.
