A step forward, or a step back?

Postby Noppera-bo » Sat Feb 06, 2016 6:53 pm

Recently made another attempt to reason with our resident bloodthirsty beast. Does going from just screaming and howling to deep, slow, ominous laughter and a few simple words(rip, tear, destroy, etc.) mean I'm getting through to it, or is it just evolving from a simple beast into something potentially far more dangerous? :/

Probably a step forward.
Try not to be scared. This alter has always been with you, even if you have had limited awareness, and you have co-existed up till now. It might get rocky but stick with it.
Diagnosed DID with a few other states.

not sure. increased communication sounds like a step forward.

for me it's like one step forward, two steps back sometimes.

when I get worried, I try to say: I have the skills to handle this. like jollyjo said

Probably a step forward: non-verbal to verbal.

Don't be afraid of the motivation behind the behaviour though, it is you after all.

Good luck...

I'm not scared of it, I'm scared of what it will do to everyone around me if it gets loose. Granted, I didn't know it was a seperate entity until a few months ago. I had thought it was a part of Shade, then I noticed it disobeying him...

It's not the sudden vocabular that has me worried, It's the switch from mindless-reactiveness to thinking-awareness, but with no apparent change in its demeanor. And as far as its motivations, I asked it why it was bent on destroying everything and everyone around us, to which it replied "Why? Why NOT!? HUHUHUHUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!"

I'm starting to wonder if my attempts to talk to it are accelerating its cognition... -_-,

Hi

There's that constant thread that we keep coming across: destruction of the System. It's usually misguided, and misplaced anger/fear/frustration.

Your attempts to talk to it are most likely (definitely) accelerating it's cognition. Be accepting, non-judgemental but establish firm boundaries: you possess the ability to shape its developing cognition.

Think of it more as your little puppy. :)
