So this means, to make sure I got it correctly:
Polyfragmented means alters within alters or over 100 alters or both?
Didn't know that. Thank you.
Alters CANNOT have alters!!!!!! What a mess! Please read on the etiology of alters in current literature.

This is true. The alters are nested in subsystems.

Honestly what makes you so sure? *edited by mod* So where is this current literature, huh? Because I take serious offense to this. -white-out-

I take offense to the spreading of incorrect information regarding DID! It's frustrating and does not help our cause. Educate yourself with current information please.

I think despite the literature, if an alter feels like they have alters, then it's true to them, and because it's true to them, it's something they need to work through. Seeing published work on "alters cannot have alters" is not going to make alters that do have them suddenly feel like they don't, because they read something on it.

Following his/her rules, 100 years ago there was nothing published about let's say Windows 8, so even though we feel like there's an operating system called Windows 8, it's not true... Perhaps in 10 years there will be something published about alters having alters. What will you say then? There are thousands of undiagnosed and untretatned cases of DID *mod edit*. THERE IS ALWAYS A FIRST TIME.
If you have DID, you probably never thought you would end up having alters... But you have.
