When you have a song stuck in your head, and you try getting it out by substituting a different one- now there are two songs running… I've gotten up to 4 before and it sounds really awful.
I always assumed this was just a gifted quirk, like speed-reading that some people can do if you have the capacity. But I asked my T and she said no, that would probably be the DID… =)

It's happen so many time to us ! And the both songs are playing at the same time and perfectly clear in the head... well, for two songs which are playing at the same time.

They say if you finish the song then it will no longer be stuck in your head. Because the reason it repeats in your head is because you mind is trying to complete it, and because it can't it will still continue the same loop. So listen to the end, finish the end in your mind, and it should go away. Yet I don't know if I 100% believe that, but that's what I learned about in a psych class long ago.

Sounds good will have to try. can you listen to the song if you don't know the end?

we always use happy birthday, or Yankee doodle as they have no melody or what ever so they don't stick.

Usually it's Christmas songs that stay stuck in my head.

And what? She gets mad at you for looking at a cute brunette but doesn't mind the skinny blonde?

Ottoline did some cleaning the other day and said that it was a shame she couldn't get rid of all the hideous clothes in the wardrobe! It would be disrespectful to throw away other people's things after all, even if they're stained and frayed :)

When you have a patient tell you something and is getting angry because you have no idea what they are talking about. You scan your memories and to you this is the first time they have mentioned this. Then the very next day you are at work and read a note you left about the patient. And easily and clearly remember yourself speaking with their family in person and everything!

When your memories start to feel like dreams. Then you don’t know if that really happened or not. Regarding recent memories, like the past day or so.
