I'm glad you are safe. Sorry it's been a tough day for you.
I often find there's things going on in my subconscious that trigger- but I do find them hard to pin down- it's only in therapy I can work them out. I do understand about self harming to relieve the stress.
Please be careful and be gentle with yourself.
Huge hugs
Lily

Mine don't tend to come out in therapy. They come out when I'm just thinking by myself. Other people make it hard to focus on my mind, sometimes.
Thank you for the help, lily

You're welcome.
I should have said that they don't necessarily come out by themselves, or by me working it out, but it's through my therapist asking questions as to what's been going on that week and how I've been dealing with those things that I start to make connections between them with his help.
Hugs and take care
Lily

If I can remain stable between now and Wednesday, I'll start a partial hospitalization day program about 30 minutes away. Yesterday I was admitted to the ER in the psychiatric crisis department, and waited hours. But I didn't kill myself yet.
If you have been in a day program, what is it like? What should I expect?

Hi wretched
I am very relieved you have not killed your self and that you are starting in a day program. I don't have much experience of that but hopefully others do. To help maximise replies I think it would a good idea to start a thread about this in the main self harm forum rather than in the crisis thread.
Hugs

I'm very glad you're ok, wretched. If you don't mind my asking, what's wrong and what got you to decide to stay alive?
