Sometimes people just dont know what to say or they havent experianced what you have.
Id talk to your Dr about withdrawl symptoms.

I've tried going off Sertaline as recently as last November and the withdrawal symptoms made me feel like a psychopath. Like you I tried tapering down from 100. I made it about a week until I gave up and went back on it.

The brain zaps, headaches, and irritability are the worse and on top of it all I just found myself being very angry at almost anything and everything. And this was just going down from 100 to 50. I have heard withdrawl symptoms last from 6-8 weeks. Good luck either way.

Hi Rach466,

Sorry to hear your feeling rough, try to remember that a lot of people are just guests so they can view but not post.

I had the same thing with sertraline, didn't do anything for me. I found that instead of taking it less often I took less of it so I think I went down to 100mg a day for a week then 50mg a day then 50 every other day. That worked a treat. Hope you feel better soon!

Hi there,
As for reading posts vs replies, there often appears to be a high number of views compared to posts for individual threads. I realize this must at times be depressing for the person who wrote the post. I wanted to remind you that views are also counted from guests so it is likely the post views appear high with few answers due to guests not being able to reply.

As for the medication, please contact your doctor about the side effects you are experiencing. Only your doctor can tell you at which rate to make any changes as no one here is in a professional capacity to do so. In addition, he/she may have some suggestions to deal with the withdrawals. Withdrawals suck. I'm sorry you're experiencing them.
