Positivity

Postby SomeGirl845 » Wed Jul 23, 2014 8:22 pm

I think we need a thread specifically and exclusively for positivity
So, please, share any progress you have made. Whether it be big or small, sometimes we forget to acknowledge those little wins in life.

For example, I said something stupid and made people laugh today, I didn't take this negatively and laughed along. There was a time where I would have wanted to run away and cry because I thought they were laughing at my looks, but now I know better than that. :D

We had a little win or perhaps you might say a big win yesterday. My son went out without wearing his hat. Cheers. Marg

i'm sorry, but i had to laugh when i read this. I know it's an extremely serious case and i understand your son and your problems cause i have bdd myself. but it sounded absurd and funny at the same time.

It's a great accomplishment when BDDers are in certain situations that used to cause them to panic and are now able to handle the situation. That sounds like a victory in my books.

But that's what this thread is all about, acknowledging every bit of progress even if it doesn't seem like a lot :)
Today I saw a bad reflection and talked myself out of believing it, so.. yay!
