There is no point to these blogs. I just have to get it out of my head. Read if you like. Don't expect it to make sense though.

Doing nothing

Permanent Linkby Twentyseven on Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:04 pm

I have spent today doing pretty much nothing at all. Watched some tv. Walked the dog.
It was lovely.

Normally I get extremely stressed by doing nothing. Especially when my project leader calls. Today I just lied to him and went back to nothing. Great.

I think it's the lack of light. I don't live far enough north to actually get any 24 hour nights (22 is the closest we get), but it was so cloudy today. Dawn behind the clouds, twilight behind the clouds and sunset at 13.00. When this darkness envelops my little box of an apartment I feel completely isolated. For students my neighbours are surprisingly quiet. I really like it.

It is also the familiar fatigue right before the end. On Thursday this hell called Sirius is over. I'm so sick of writing report. And I never want to have to work that intimately with the same four persons for a year again. Good luck with that...

---------

Internet was out the entire weekend. A bit frustrating since almost all my games are on steam... but I don't really play any more anyway. I just open up the games library and stare at the titles. That is actually even more frustrating. My weekend was very mellow. A lot of Radiohead, the only band that seems to stick, some lit candles, about 5 decimetres of new snow and approximately 400 pages of three different books.

--------------

Today I really should have written though... I don't know what I'm going to show them tomorrow. I guess I'll just throw something together tomorrow morning. As per usual. And it usually works too.

Don't work hard, work smart. Or not at all if you can get away with it.

"You know you should, but you don't" - Radiohead, Morning Mr Magpie.

Okay, so, ten out of ten for style, but minus several million for good thinking, okay?
