i love my kids more than anything I could have ever imagined and would do anything to protect them.

I cannot understand why anyone wouldn't feel that way.

Hi Sam,

How's your treatment going? I haven't checked this site for a while. Dealt with wife's preganancy, new baby and the stresses that came with it. My children keeps me going day to day while I deal with my issues. We try our best to keep our family separate from our issues because we don't want to hurt them but we're not always successful.
I've been on Cipralex since June last year and it wasn't easy having them understand the adjustment to the immediate effects of the medication. Now, they're adjusting again to the not-so-immediate effects it's having on me. I hope you're doing better with yours.

Thanks D, it is going ok. Major ups and downs. Congrats on the baby! So you've been busy and I guess the tiredness issue with Cipralex is not helping much! I know trying to keep your issues separate from your kids. It is hard. Sometimes it fails and you just have to be as honest as you can. Are you having bad effects now or have you stabilized on the cipralex? I think I am managing well on it, low libido and tiredness. I dissociating a lot but I don't think that has anything to do with the SSRI.

Best,
Sam
