Another List

Permanent Linkby CrackedGirl on Tue Mar 12, 2013 4:19 am

I wanted to blog but I have not got the energy to talk about anything profound so I thought I would cheer myself by making a list of my top 10 TV programs currently - perhaps I can watch some to take my mind off things.

1. Rev - my newly discovered gem about a vicar in London
2. Friends - of course
3. Bones - I love it, even the gory bits
4. Top Gear - very entertaining and the recent special was brilliant
5. Anger Management - another new discovery that is very funny
6. QI - I love love love this quiz show esp as it is hosted by Stephen Fry 8)
7. The Graham Norton show - he is a great chat show host and gets really good guests
8. Two & A Half Men - very funny
9. Any travel program with Michael Palin in it - he is wonderful
10. Green Wing - A comedy about medics which is well worth a watch

Hope everyone is OK

Hugs

You Are All Awesome :)

I have had so much crap land in my lap recently

Too much

And the amount of support I have had from you guys has helped hugely. It has really made a difference in my "outcome" (ffs I hate that word). Anyhow I would like to thank those of you who have supported me so much for being there. I would also like to thank those of you who have not been a pain in the arse for abstaining whilst I have been wobbly, and for those of you who have been a pain in the arse - there are always enemas...

Hugs

A Letter To The Person Who Called Me Fat

Permanent Linkby CrackedGirl on Tue Feb 12, 2013 11:57 pm

Dear D,

When I was in church the other day you came to sit in the pew behind me and in the course of our conversation prior to the service starting for some reason you thought it was appropriate to call me fat. You cant have known what an impact saying this to me would have but surely you should realise that that is not the kind of thing you say to someone you are talking to casually in church. It is a really rude way to behave and you should know better. Particularly given you work in a caring profession and you are meant to be a good communicator as part of your job. If you behave like this at work I pity those you work with - both clients and colleagues.

You didnt know this would happen but saying what you did to me has retriggered the eating disorder I have been struggling with since I was 14. I know it is ultimately me who decides whether to go down this route or not but what you said was very unkind and has started off some unhealthy thinking and behaviour. You were not to know but you should engage your brain before you open your gob.

A big bit of me now wants to get as thin as possible in order to show you just how thin I can be and this is really unhealthy. But thanks to you it is a thought I cant get out of my head. I now also feel even more fat and ugly than I do usually - which is saying something.

This is the second time you have said something cruel to me. I dont know if you are just a really insecure person who feels the need to be horrible to other people, or whether there is something else going on. I would say tho that it might be worth you looking at your own faults before putting down other people. I doubt I am the only person in church you have behaved like this with and you might want to remember what Jesus said about loving your neighbour.

I am working hard to not let you get to me but I am struggling with this. You really hurt my feelings and have messed with my head. I would say that I hope to do the same to you some day but I am worth more than stooping to your level.

I am hoping I no longer have contact with you unless I absolutely have to. And I would appreciate it if you would go back to sitting in your usual place and not invading my space. Church is meant to be a therapeutic and spiritual place for me and your behaviour is spoiling it. Take your comments elsewhere please.

Dealing with ATOS/DWP

An Example

Get letter in the mail with a questionnaire telling me I am on a benefit I am not on and telling me I need to fill in a questionnaire to be switched over to the benefit I am on and if I dont do it I will lose my benefit.
Call DWP to ask what they mean by this as it is very confusing and get told that the letter is a standard letter they send out to everyone.
Ask why the facts in the letter are not correct and get told that they only have my word for that and that the letter is a standard letter they send out to everyone.
Tell them I will be unable to get the form done by their deadline and they say they will put a note on my records saying that I am waiting for my support worker in order to complete the form and that this is fine and not to worry.
Get threatening letter in the post telling me my benefits will be stopped for not filling in the form on time
Call number on letter and wait for 20 mins to speak to someone
Get told I have called the wrong number
Manage to get them to not hang up and give me another number
Call other number
Wait 20 mins to speak to someone
Explain the situation to them
Have them look up my records and confirm the note is on them
Ask why I have received a threatening letter
Get told this is a standard letter they send out to everyone

Silly Things That Have Made Me Cry Recently

Permanent Linkby CrackedGirl on Tue Jan 22, 2013 4:04 pm

I posted this thread in BP a while back about how I find it tough to cry at things that matter and far to shamefully easy to cry at things that I should not be crying at. Here are 10 such things that have made me quite literally sob at times :|

1. Watching the final of America's Next Top Model
2. Claire Balding being on radio 2
3. Aled Jones no longer being on radio 2
4. Stephen Hawking in the black hole go compare ad
5. Walking in the snow
6. Dancing with my cat
7. Going to sleep
8. Music on the radio
9. A kitchen apron
10. Grumpy cat

I know it is most silly.

Hope you are all well

Hugs
