Soooooooo Much OnI am sorry I have been quiet in my blog - I have so much on atm and I have not wanted to talk too much about it until it all becomes clearer. So for now I might be quiet. I would really like to thank ppl for all their support tho - I am really grateful for it.
Anyhow just a quick one as Sebastian the kittie is making sounds that sound naughty outside the living room door so I need to go and investigate... huge hugs all Cracked 0 Comments Viewed 496339 times Why Are There Green Skittles? And given that they exist why are they not apple flavoured? And why are the purple ones in the UK not grape flavoured - which is so much nice than blackcurrant. If I was Queen Of The World here are 10 more things I would change about various products and services we are blessed with on this earth.
1. Have pointy ends on things that are squeezy like ketchup bottles so a whole load does not get wasted as it cant get out of the squeezy hole without you shaking it and getting it all over yourself 2. Arrange for no direct debits to leave your account on a Monday so you have a day to get things sorted if you need to move some money in order to pay for something and have not had the chance to do it on Friday or over the weekend 3. Make Juicy Fruit gum sugar free 4. Have an easy way to test water when going on flights so you can take it on the plane with you rather than having to keep bugging the stewardess for some (can you tell I am on lithium ) 5. Have quorn coming with herbs and garlic as a mince form as well as without 6. Give sugar free polos the same taste and texture as normal polos 7. Ban corner shops from selling things above the RRP 8. Have all light fixtures either screw fitting or bayonet so you dont have to remember what yours are when you are buying light bulbs 9. Remove meat based gelatin from all products and replace with vegetarian so there is no confusion about this 10. Sell cheese, marmite and cucumber sandwiches in all sandwich shops Cracked 2 Comments Viewed 551201 times Starting To HealWe had a meeting at the cathedral tonight organised by the Bishop to talk about the vote that happened and where to go from here. It was predominantly full of ppl who were in favour of women bishops tho there were those there eager to hammer home their views against - which were received with an awful lot more tolerance than I was expecting, I have to say. There were times when I welled up with what ppl were saying and on the whole, the occasional bigot aside, it was a very healing meeting. We then went onto the pub to debrief and this was hugely useful too - there is something very healing about being with ppl and talking things out. I know there will be women bishops one day and I really hope that day is sooner rather than later as I know some wonderful women who would fit the bill.
Cracked 4 Comments Viewed 535806 times Women BishopsI am so angry and disappointed in the Anglican church as a body I belong to. They voted against women bishops and I find this hugely insulting and bigoted of those who voted against. Some of the best vicars and spiritual leaders I have come across are women and my current vicar is a woman- and is a wonderful, professional, spiritual, helpful and kind person. How can it be bad for someone who has that skill set and the qualities that women bring aside from this to be a bishop? It infuriates me I had to listen to this twerp talking on the radio earlier about how women can't be trusted with spirituality. Well I would trust my spirituality far more to my current vicar than to a lot of male vicars I have known in the past. Perhaps the best thing would be for gender not to play a role at all but I think that is unrealistic. Instead we should be looking at the benefits being female bring to the table. It is a sad time for the church atm and I wonder if it is going to split. I have to say I hate the fact that I am represented by such pillocks at this time and if it did would seriously consider following the pro women group even if that meant leaving the Anglican church as we know it now. I cannot believe that in the 21st century women are having to fight such blatant sexism and bigotry.
