The country and probably a lot of other countries too were shocked at the violent murder of Lee Rigby. One thing that worries me is the reaction to this from other extremist groups. We have enough problems between different groups of ppl in this country without adding fuel to the fire. Something that made me cheer up a little tho about it all was reading in the news about how mosques were opening up dialogue by serving tea and biscuits to people who would likely never interact with them - such as EDL protesters. Apparently this behaviour has had some success thankfully. It is good to know that not all people are too quick to react adversely. Clearly those men who committed the murder were not representing Islam.
This situation reminds me of when we got attacked in Nigeria. Those who attacked us said they were doing it in the name of Islam and Allah but they clearly were not. Those who were acting in a spiritual manner were the villagers who called them off, thus saving our lives - who were Muslims.
I really hope that the day will come soon where people stop doing awful deeds in God's name.
