Well i had a day yesterday

I was invited to go play music on a barge. It transpires that someone I know has one and wanted a group of us to go and be creative on it.

We faffed around at the train station in the disorganised way that only musicians can be and eventually managed to get the train. And then when we got to the other end ended up walking for miles to find a bus in the rain because ppl did not want to pay a pound each to get a cab. It would have meant eating into the beer money

We arrived where it was moored up and found some logs to set up under a bridge and sat there chatting, strumming, beer drinking and (naughty Cracked) smoking. This is when it started to get a bit weird. The woman who invited us all had a strop about something - still not sure what - and disappeared into the barge. Somehow we managed to kill a few hours jamming and then another friend arrived.

This is when the funniest thing I have seem for a long time happened. One of my friends who went to let the newly arrived friend in came running down the embankment and slipped on the grass going arse over tit. In slow motion he then flipped over onto his back and fell in the canal

Following this we went on a journey. I was lookout person to start with then Cracked got to drive the barge The woman was still stropping but on the whole for some reason I was in her good graces - not sure how I managed that. Some highlights included being asked to untie the mooring and accidently untying another boat

I took LOADS of pics so am going to pop them up on FB for friends and family to see.

Time to get back home and go for "one more pint for the road".
