What did you accomplish Today?

Postby Zyphyr » Mon Apr 23, 2012 10:41 pm

We all know living with BPD can make things difficult, even the most simple things that others take for granted. So here is a thread to make note of what you accomplished during your day, no matter how insignificant it may seem. Maybe you passed a test? Perhaps you had a breakthrough in therapy? Made it through a tough day at work? Share those deeds.

Managed to make some progress in my spending addiction, I said no to buying a great mouse/keyboard combo that was on sale. That was so freaking hard :|

Today I focused and finished two video games. The games Journey and PixleJunk Shooter can be filed under finished. Unlocked a few Playstation trophies in the process.

I wrote another poem

I created a custom graphic based on my current favorite video game franchise inFAMOUS

Managed to remember to do some stretches the doctor prescribed to get my back, back into shape. No small feat considering I really hate taking care of myself. I look like I take care of myself but I really don't.

It looks like you had a pretty productive day! Great topic as well :)

As for me, I made one of my favourite dinners from scratch (http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/lee- ... index.html).

I worked on several pieces of writing to include in my portfolio and spent several hours job hunting.

Lately, I've been selling some of my toys/old stuff on eBay to make some money. A few of the auctions ended today, so I had to box them up and ship them. More spending money for the next hypomanic episode ;)

I took the day off and accomplished absolutely nothing, and I love it! (Why does everyone get sick on a Monday? ) Everyone deserves a lazy day. Work is overrated.

EDIT: I actually did try to do something creative today. Fiddled with my piano, but wouldn't necessarily call it an accomplishment.

I have managed to take care of myself with my lithium, plus been working on my music and getting forum work done.

Thanks tweekedout! Glad you like the topic, I "borrowed" it from some other forums I've been on where it was more specialized but I hope it works here.

Kudos to the musicians, you guys all rock!

Today I got the courage up to call my therapist and go in for an unexpected visit. Just wanted to tell her about my recent depressed bout and it was the first time I went in "unscheduled". I was kind of afraid they would up my med doses or put me on something else but I assured them it's passed.

I slipped on my spending addiction, bought the new game Prototype 2......... I guess that's not an accomplishment but I am very excited to play it

Does anyone else find it difficult sometimes to ever remember to shave or socialize? I feel sometimes like posting things that I'm sure other people would be like...... ok dude, that's an accomplishment?

I got more than 3 hours of sleep!

And ate food. And i did not yell at my landlord.

Their sad accomplishments... but that's about it.

My facial hair growth has three stages:(1) Lazy, (2) Creepy and (3) "Are You Alright? :| "

And yes, I forget to socialize. Sometimes my life reminds me of "The Sims" where socializing was a chore you had to do to progress the game to it's conclusion (btw watching someone play "The Sims" is one of the most hyperreal and creepy experiences you can have)

In regards to the question in your OP:
-Helped my Dad move
-Read some books that I've wanted to
-And exercised

That's it for today :(
