*TW*
For me I went 1 week without antidepressants when I was on a very strong one for adults. I was a teenager at the time. And I got suicidal and *mod edit*. And I missed a week on mood stabilizers and the exact same thing happened. And I couldn't sleep and it triggered a manic episode followed by depression. But I had a psychotic break when I missed 1 week. So I am a lot more stable then I was back then. And I have since recovered from my psychotic break. I don't ever want to get a second mental breakdown. That was the scariest thing I ever experienced in my life. Also what were your side effects?

There was a period of about 6 months that I wasn't on my meds. I was crazy irritable. Every little thing ticked me off and I was super sensitive. I eventually fell into a depression but started my meds again after that.
Bipolar I | GAD
Lamotrigine - 400 mg | Clonazepam - 1 mg

I was on vacation and after a week, I became terribly depressed. I'd forgotten my Zoloft. I've never gone off my meds totally. That would be a disaster for me.

I just tried this in January. I suddenly stopped taking everything. I was off for 37 days because I was convinced I didn't need them. I went hypomanic and it was a complete disaster. One evening, I spent $10K on stuff I didn't need. I have an amazing refrigerator now, even though my last one worked fine. I still haven't unpacked everything I got from Amazon yet.

I went about a month without taking anything but my Vyvanse. I was on a major cocktail or Lamictal, Abilify, Lithium, Vyvanse, Trazadone, and Xanax. Stopped them all cause I just got tired of taking them and decided I didn't actually need them and I didn't really have bipolar. That was fine... until the fear of failing an exam led me to attempt suicide.... what a stupid reason.
Bipolar, impulsive, apathetic and sadistic. Heavily medicated.

I stopped sodium valproate about 3.5 years ago, stopped the anti-psychotic, the sleeping tablets and the beta blockers at around the same time. I stopped the 300mg/day of Venlafaxine about 6 months later. I've been hypomanic and hypersexual since then but it's better than being massively overweight due to the medications. I'm in a relationship with someone who is HPD, so most of my hypersexuality is spent on her, although I've still had far too many partners in too short a time, and I spend money like it's water but I'd rather that than be overweight and suffer the other side effects of the meds which, for me, included psychosis.

3 years.
Was pretty stable.
Went back on medications after a fairly sudden severe manic episode.
