The Off Topic Thread

Postby CrackedGirl » Sun May 17, 2015 12:07 pm

We are really pleased that there is such a friendly and supportive community here in the Bipolar Forum. We have noticed that sometimes off topic posts are made and rather than moving these to the Just For Fun forum, we would like to allow these in this Off Topic thread. This means that people still have access to the same community when they post them, but that all the off topic posts are kept together. So please post your off topic posts here. Thank you :D

Whooooooo hooooooo!!!!!!
My supervisor is training me on new things on Tuesday! Training is cool because I'm not doing work but still getting paid to learn how to do work.
And I think legless lizards are cooler than ice

Are legless lizards snakes?

No, snakes are mostly body and a little bit of tail and have different movements (can use the underbelly to get across hard surfaces like pavement) than lizards (who if found on pavement would die). Legless lizards are mostly tail, and when being attacked by predators can detach their tail to escape. The tail will keep wiggling but the actual lizard can escape and the predator will usually go after the tail. And snakes can detach their jaw while lizards can't and are limited to food less than the size of their head.
They look almost exactly the same though.

My favorite lizard is called the thorny devil. They're in Australia and they're awesome.

The jeweled Lacerta is my favorite lizard. So beautiful!

Does anybody know of any good books on learning to manage your personal finances? I'm really bad with money when I'm hypomanic, but I'm pretty bad with it a lot of the time. When I think about money, I get the same feeling you might get when thinking of spiders...ick, ulgh, gross. I need a better relationship with money.

There is a guy who appears on BBC Radio 2 sometimes who is really good called Martin Lewis. He has a website

http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/

It is a UK site but probably helpful to all

When I was a teenager my mom had me watch this show with her called Suze Orman and it would be about this lady that just gives tips on how to manage your money and get out of debt and save for retirement and all that jazz. She has a website (http://www.suzeorman.com/)and I'm sure you could find some clips on youtube.

I had two funerals for Lord Capulet and Guildenstern today. They have drowned in the canoe ride and I found their bodies within the waters today. May their green caterpillar bodies rest in peace.
