How do you feel when others reject you?

I honestly do not know what is the rejection because I isolate myself and I never socialize/make friends and If I do I am who rejects the other
When others make fun of me I don't know how to react and I just get tired

I think Oh yay this again? well at least its a familiar feeling by now.

When people reject me? I feel "no-one wants me, no-one loves me" what's wrong with me? I don't ever show it, but it hurts. I isolate myself to protect myself from that. If there is no one to reject me then no one can hurt me.

But in protecting myself from all the bad stuff I miss out on all the good stuff.

I get very hurt and I slide into a big negative thought spiral with thoughts including that I'm not wanted, why would anyone want me or want to know me anyway, that I'm just too messed up, I'm not good enough, I'm never going to be good enough, why did I put myself out there in the first place.... it often ends with self harm. I also have the idea that if I isolate myself then I can't get hurt. It's a lonely existence though.

Whether I am being rational about whether they are rejecting me or not is another thing. I haven't yet learned to be rational about it.

Humiliation. Which is pretty interesting.
If they don't approach me, then whatever. But if I approach them, then yikes! I am much better at that now, thank gods. I feel pang of irrational humiliation (even though "rejection" is probably just "sorry, I am too busy this day") but I'm usually too busy to care much, so I just shrug it off.
