Shell, are you unsure about your own diagnosis? If I remember over the weekend I'll look at the report again and see what were more of the key elements that led to the conclusion.

It wasn't a self diagnosis that I was autistic.
Being "mildly autistic" was a way to differentiate me from being profoundly autistic.
The psychologists emphasised the "mild" aspect.
He could have used "high functioning autistic" also, I guess.

I pretty much ignored what it was to be autistic for 25 years.
Then I experienced my true "awakening" and I never looked back...

Oh ok, I see. And I know what you mean, it's really all symantics. You can label all you want, but it's really so much clearer when you just toss all the "labels" and just know yourself!!
One of my husband's favorite sayings is: "It is what it is!" and he's SO right!

Mine took 4 sessions because I was testing for ADD as well as AS. We went about 1-to-1-1/2 hours each time. I'd say the AS testing itself was probably about 3 hours total. Are you testing for anything else?

sorry for the late reply.

I've had 4 sessions as well. today i took the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory®-2 (MMPI®-2) test. it's a frickin 567 questions test!

i should know the results next week. i'm sure there are other things that they look for and they did mention ADHD. i will know officially in the next 2 weeks, together with their treatment plan.

No problem, I'm still here! Do YOU think you have ADHD, or is it just something they tested for to "cover all the bases"?
I took a bunch of different tests, but most of them were just puzzle-type things. I only remember one part that was a bunch of questions, and I don't think it was 567 questions, that would be a heck of a lot!

I do remember my psychiatrist was saying about ADHD and ask me if I want to take ADHD medication. Because he got a clinical psychologist to help evaluate me as well, I told him to hold on and wait for the evaluation from the clinical psychologist.

But personally after researching about ADHD, I do believe I have it. It's just that I do want conclusive 'evidence' from someone who knows this subject well to determine whether it is ADHD or not. Besides, the primary focus for me is the Asperger's.
