It wasn't a self diagnosis that I was autistic.
Being "mildly autistic" was a way to differentiate me from being profoundly autistic.
The psychologists emphasised the "mild" aspect.
He could have used "high functioning autistic" also, I guess.
I pretty much ignored what it was to be autistic for 25 years.
Then I experienced my true "awakening" and I never looked back...

Oh ok, I see. And I know what you mean, it's really all symantics. You can label all you want, but it's really so much clearer when you just toss all the "labels" and just know yourself!!
One of my husband's favorite sayings is: "It is what it is!" and he's SO right!
