Are any of you on disability?

I am considering applying for disability (U.S.) and was wondering if anyone on here would care to share their experience with the disability process. I'd very much appreciate any feedback you might provide.

I'm about to apply, having trouble with the forms though.
difficulty describing my condition

I'd appreciate knowing about how it all works out too. I'm not applying for anything like that, but I am trying to get some accomodation under the ADA for work.

The Process is pretty extensive in BC, you have to have a Professional in the medical industry who knows you very well and is willing to take the time to fill out all the forms which are 27 pages in length and that doesn't include extra sheets that are included because of the lack of space provided to fully describe the time line and condition of my sickness.
