Aspie networking: exchange IM addresses

Postby Chair » Tue Feb 02, 2010 12:07 am

I quit using instant messengers a while ago, but I've created new accounts for MSN, Yahoo and AIM; I'm back to using them.

I've been wanting to create a network of aspies on my instant messenger. It's comforting to have one-on-one conversations with people I can relate to. I find it to be a good alternative to using forums, even though I don't prefer one over the other.

If anyone's interested, we all can exchange IM addresses in this thread. I'm sure other people would be interested in forming a network of aspie contacts.

Below are my IM addresses:

MSN: Chairydoo@Gmail.com
Yahoo: Chairydoo
AIM: Chairydoo

You're a brave man for putting your gmail address on a site like this. Two points: Wasn't Google (and thus Gmail) the main target for that recent cyber 'attack' from China? Secondly, this website is heavily linked with Google's search engine. If you add these two concepts together, I think you're opening yourself up to getting some unusual emails shortly.

I'd add you but I'm flat-out busy at the moment, having just started a new course/research role.

Take care,

Kevin

Yeah, I'd go with Chucky on this one. If you want to communicate with people, just tell them to PM you. But most importantly you'd probably want to take your addresses before it's too late.

I have lots of email addresses.

When I sign up to sites, I often use temporary emails, so I don't care if this email receives spam. I only use it with my MSN account.

Hahah, you're quite like me. I also do have a lot of email addresses and half of them I forgot or are not working anymore. For now I use about 20 addresses. So, I do not care for the spam either. My main mail is on the Gmail :P
If we've had no people with Asperger's, we would be losing a very important way of thinking that has helped many people.

Being Normal Is Vastly Overrated.

Why on Earth do you need lots of addresses? Is it dor each of ye're secret partners... ...? I only Gmail and university one, and even that's too much. I had one address with Yahoo! for more than a decade but they really spoiled our relationship 3 yearsago, and I left them for Gmail.
