Sounds like it:

And if not; why did you feel a need to go to a shrink? :P

You probably get angry with people because you don't feel comfortable with social interactions, and your response to how afraid of it you really are is to push people away with your frustration. The frustration you get from not being able to cope, and the frustration turns into an outward expression of anger. :P

Being a loner by choice has nothing to do with being socially anxious. I have no problem being around other people or in a crowd when I have to be or when it suits me. I have spoken publicly to both the media and in front of a crowd of people without any fear whatsoever. I have also done karaoke while completely sober on more than one occasion. Does that sound like someone who has social anxiety to you?

I have mentioned several times on this site why I visited a shrink, yet you seem to conveniently forget. I went to see a shrink because of my homicidal impulses. I was looking for an alternative release because the urges to kill are hard to control sometimes.

My problem with people is being told what to do or not to do. I hate other people trying to control me or my life. I also have poor behavioral controls which leads to anger issues. I have trust issues as well, but none of that has anything to do with social anxiety. While I am naturally cautious due to having been raised in an abusive home environment, I'm not afraid of other people in the slightest.

Most people with social anxiety also "decide" to be loners, and tries to convince themselves that they just don't need social interaction. It's just running though. :P

And pushing yourself on a few occasions doesn't mean that you don't have social anxiety. Even purplerain had her moments, but then she went back into hiding. Although she seemed to be much more of a social butterfly than you are even considering her social anxiety. I think the main difference was a lack of delusion on her part. :P

They get too close and pushy and you can't handle the situation. Social anxiety. :P

You simply don't know how to act around people because of your insecurities. Social anxiety. :P

Hehe. :P

Explains where the social anxiety originally came from. :P

I've been complimented on my singing by both strangers and people who know me, which is surprising considering I often have a monotone voice when talking normally. While reading to my daughter once she told me I sound robotic, yet I can actually sing pretty well.

The songs I sang were...

Predictable by Delta Goodrum

Always Be My Baby by Mariah Carey

and My Heart Will Go On by Celine Dion

I know for a fact I don't have social anxiety, but if it makes you feel better to think I do, then go ahead and think what you want. I'm done discussing this with you.

I'm sure you know it too on some level. :P

And could you have picked any duller songs?

Here's a few I've sung on karaoke:

Linkin Park - Faint

Tenacious D - Kickapoo

Deep Purple - Burn

And who's sober in a bar? What's the point? :P

What's more dull than love ballads? :P

I've rapped to songs while I was drunk, but I've never sang karaoke. People have told me I'm pretty good, but I don't know. When it comes down to making my own lyrics, I suck. :P

Rack City - Tyga

No Love - Eminem Ft. Lil Wayne

Jay-Z & Kanye West - #######2 in Paris

^ Those are just the ones I remember rapping to. I'm usually a little silly when I'm intoxicated, but aren't we all? :P
