The Source of Anger

what is the source of your anger? what are you angry about?

whenever I think of my parents or brother I get angry...

when I think of anything that reminds me of them I get angry...

so what is the source of your anger, and what triggers your anger for you?

One day you're happy. On top of the world. The next you lose it all.

That is life.

ya frustration is a common source for most people.

I find if I get frustrated I react with anger right away. There is no emotional regulation at all. I just get angry and storm around until I get what I want, or things start going my way.

Yeah, that's not what I meant. I don't throw hissy fits like a child, I just get verbally aggressive and try to intimidate people.

Oh I see. I do that too.

I also get kind of dictatorial, you know what I mean? Like I start giving direct orders to everyone in sight (even strangers sometimes) and if they don't do what I say I blow up at them.

Yeah, well it's rare that I actually "blow up". Usually when I get angry, I just become more aggressive and intimidating with my tone. I've made people nervous on occasion. I've been told I become a totally different person, but I don't. I know what I'm doing and I do it on purpose to scare them into doing things for me if they won't do them otherwise for whatever reason.

Some of these comments don't seem to be about where anger comes from, rather they're about how it's demonstrated.

I get angry if something doesn't go my way but that's not where my anger comes from.

I don't have a history of abuse or any other reason to look back and blame others for the way I am, but I have an anger than burns in me nevertheless.
It's good. It feels pure.
I'm not arguing, I'm simply explaining why I'm right.
