you pamper a kid too much, they never stop wanting to be a kid. on the other hand, if you rob them of their childhood completely, then they spend their entire adulthood trying to reclaim it.

actually as a parent you wouldn't know yet because your kids are still...kids. right? although they should be in their early 20s by now, but still early to tell i think
