You can hear a voice in your head and that be a auditory hallucination. In fact that is more common in auditory hallucinations then hearing a voice out of your head
That's never happened to me, but I have had auditory hallucinations of voices that sounded outside of me head but were not really there. I have no idea which is more common. I'm not sure how a voice "in" your head can be a auditory hallucination as you know it's in your head. But I will take your word on it. For now until I can disprove it
