Hiding in the toilet to eat?

I just want to know if I'm the only one who, when I dare eat anything in school, hide away in a bathroom stale to eat it? I am emotionally and physically unable to eat where someone else could see me. Its embarrassing that at 24 yo I hide from strangers.

It's taken me time to be able to eat in front of strangers (e.g- at a restaurant with my fiance) but I can't eat at work, school or with friends. I've noticed that I'm able to eat in front of women better than men, but that's probably because I was abused by some men. So yeah. You're never alone, and we all love you

why are you afraid to eat? were you abused as a child while eating or something?

hi don't worry about it too much...try to eat food that's not sticky. i was actually like that too for a while. it might be from child abuse. i'm not sure.

I was literally about to start a thread on this. I too find it difficult eating infront of people. I think it is a fear of judgement.

It's quite common apparently, particularly in women.
